7/6/2023 0 Comments Atem mini pro extremeMy guess is that they'll come out with something that's a hybrid between the Mini Pro ISO and the Television Studio HD in the $1000 or so price range. There are many solutions in terms of what BMD could change in a future model such as a second USB port or second HDMI output, but of course there are lots of other things people would like to change as well such as support for SDI, balanced audio, etc. A DaVinci project is saved for editing and relinking to Blackmagic RAW files for Ultra HD finishing. You have to give up Multiview which is a showstopper for some but for me it's not a big deal. Get the features of ATEM Mini Extreme plus 9 record streams for clean feeds of all inputs. The best solution in terms of what you can do right now IMHO is to dedicate the USB port for recording since despite what I said above the ATEM actually doesn't behave perfectly as a webcam, and to use a separate USB capture device on the HDMI output as the webcam and ethernet for control. I think the design compromise they made was to make the ATEM look exactly like an off-the-shelf USB webcam so that it wouldn't need any special drivers and would support the widest range of software possible (Zoom, Skype, Facetime, etc.) This group is created to show all the advances and modifications that are being made to ATEM MINI cases Any suggestion is very valuable to build the most. Theoretically there could be a driver on the computer that does the capturing instead of a USB drive directly attached to the ATEM - similar to the way it works with the UltraStudio products.
